Privacy Policy

Choka is not yet available. This policy covers the details we collect through the waitlist form on this site. A fuller policy covering call recordings and transcripts will be published before launch and reviewed by our lawyers first.

1. What we collect

Only what you type into the waitlist form:

first name and last name;
email address;
mobile number.

We do not ask for payment details, and there is nothing to pay to join the waitlist.

2. Why we collect it

To tell you when early access opens, to answer your questions, and to work out how many contractors we can onboard in each area. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for unrelated marketing.

3. Where it is stored

Waitlist details are stored in Australia. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the waitlist and the early-access onboarding.

4. Who else sees it

We use service providers to host our systems and send email. They only handle your details to provide that service to us, under contract. We may also disclose details if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

Until launch and up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. If you become a customer, your details move across to your account and our customer privacy policy applies from then.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your details, or to stop contacting you, at hello@choka.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy issue, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

7. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so we know whether the site is doing its job. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, the pages you view and general details about your device. We use it to understand traffic in aggregate, not to identify you, and we have not switched on Google's advertising or remarketing features.

You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies for this site. Nothing on this site stops working if you do. Aside from analytics, we use only the storage needed to make the page work, and we do not run advertising trackers.
